Flamingo Garden Party with Cricut Maker

Who doesn't love a beautiful, fun party with all your best friends? I was so happy to help at this Flamingo Garden party for one of our favorite people. The details were gorgeous, food delicious and the activities were loved by all the girls.

This experience is based strictly on my opinion.  Others may have a different opinion or experience with the product listed above.  I was provided the sample free of charge by the company or PR agency and I have given my honest opinion.

One thing I love about my Cricut Maker - having it at a party, makes the party more fun. There are so many party details that I will share later, but today I really want to talk about how my Cricut Maker helped me make the perfect party bags and created a fun interactive party station.

I made the bags a head of time so all the of the sewing was completed before the guests arrived. Open your Cricut's Design Space and head to the canvas. Add a square and then unlock the image so you can manipulate the shape. I cut my pieces 8.5" X 12" (for the striped fabric) and 4.5" X 12". Once your bags are sewn you can move to the fun part...decorating.

We set up a Cricut cutting station where the girls came to cut the flamingo. It is easy to do and Cricut has several flamingos to choose from in Design Space. Once you find the right flamingo or image, click the create it icon. Cricut will send all the information via bluetooth from your laptop, iPad or phone to the Cricut Maker. Don't forget to put your iron-on vinyl pretty side down on your cutting mat and choose the mirror image when cutting. We had the girls come up choose a bag and flamingo. We used the foil iron on in pink for the flamingo.

Each girl placed their flamingo on their bag, once they were happy, we used an old fashioned iron to set the flamingos in place, it would have been awesome to have had Cricut's new Easy Press. Mine didn't arrive on time. I will use it on the next project. It has a built in timer and keeps the temperature at just the right spot. It only requires a little pressure and voila perfectly placed flamingo! Peeling the the carrier sheet and seeing their flamingo stick was magical for everyone.

After they placed their flamingo, they were given puff paint to add any other design elements they wanted. I know the girls loved it. They raved about the new Cricut Maker and how much fun it was to iron on their flamingo. This was a super easy project that everyone enjoyed. I love how the Cricut Maker allows you to cut so many different mediums. Cutting fabric has been a game changer for me.

As you can see, the girls had a blast at this party. I loved being part and more importantly celebrating this special day for a lovely girl.
