The Beach Towel Bags
These bags turned out so cute...they were fun to make and I like the feel that they brought to the party. I know each of the girls were very excited about taking home their own bag filled with fun goodies. They got to design a pair of flip flops as well. The tags were made and signed by the birthday girl with a thank you message to each party guest.

Let me know if you would like to have these at your party - monica@sookeedesigns.com
Each girl had a little tag with her name on it
I tried to make each bag unique

The birthday girl had one that was different from the rest

T-shirt Purse

Friday, April 20, 2012

It's great to re-purpose items that were no longer loved. I have a collection of T-shirts waiting to be donated and had a friend tell me about re-purposing them. She made purses with her daughters and I thought it was a great idea. Two of my sweet nieces came over and we had a fun day together.
I think it's totally adorable.

Sweet As Pie - Birthday Outfit

Thursday, April 19, 2012

I just finished working on a special project for a dear friend. She asked me to create a sweet as pie birthday outfit for a baby girl. I am so excited for her to see the completed outfit. Here is a sneak peak for you! I wanted to give her options so I went with the capri pants and ruffle bottoms so she can change the outfit depending on her mood.

Hand Towel Beach Bag
Just finished working on these cute beach towel bags (inspired by Martha Stewart Hand Towel Beach Bags) for a little girl to give to her guests at her swimming party this weekend. I love finding items and re-purposing them. This was a great example of an ordinary hand towel becoming something fun and useful. They will be packed with flip flops, water bottle, lip gloss, shower gel and a sparkly head band.

And the Winner is...

Thank you to everyone who shared my Facebook page SookEe Designs and helped me reach my 100 fans goal! I am super excited to have a giveaway. I love drawings with free prizes. I think it started when I was eight years old and entered my name into a drawing to win a giant stuffed teddy bear wearing a pink sweatshirt. I can vividly remember the day when I received a phone call from the store telling me my name had been chosen and I was the lucky winner! What a fantastic day. The bear was bigger than I was at the time and had a place of honor on my bed for many years. I haven't won anything since, I still try, but that was such a memorable day! Good luck to all of you and thank you!

Here's how to enter:

Like SookEe Designs Facebook Page, follow this blog, share this giveaway via your Facebook page, answer a question as a comment on the blog. The contest is going on NOW! Winner will be picked on April 17, 2012. Winner will be notified via email.

Greetings: It's Time for a Giveaway!

I want to get to 100 fans on my FaceBook page SookEe Designs help me out by sharing my page with your friends. When I get to 100 fans I will be giving away a free kids apron (you can choose your colors) with personalized monogram.

Apron Value $35.00

I am so excited about this new adventure. I took my first sewing class in Junior High - and loved making aprons, pillowcases and pillows. I took a few years off and picked it back up while living in Kentucky. I was inspired by my amazing friend Diane. She is quite the quilter. I have been in love ever since. I also enjoy cooking, knitting, reading, dancing and spending time with my family.

I am a Korean adoptee and my Korean name while living in the orphanage was Sook Ee - I've been told that it means Pure. I love being adopted and had the greatest family ever. My mom always told me that my birth mom loved me so much, wanted a better life for me than she could provide and that's why I was adopted. I always believed her. My mom passed away a few years ago; I miss her everyday. Growing up she told me that I could do anything I wanted to. I never doubted that. I have a pure love of what I do and I hope that I can share that with you.

Once I hit my first goal of 100 likes on FaceBook I will post the details on how to enter to win an apron!
